First Fit3D Body Scan
Fitness has been a part of my life ever since I joined the United States Marine Corps. Tracking our progress using a measuring tape and a partner only gives measurements as consistent as the person measuring you. Witnessing a Fit3D scan for the first time opened my eyes to the consistency and accuracy that can be achieved with technology.
I made an appointment online at Fit-Lab to get a scan done, and submitted some basic information along with my appointment request. When I arrived, I checked in at the Desk and was surprised to learn that the employees had already created me an account on the Fit3d Machine. You can compare our system to the first scan that Jason got while traveling here at ACTIVECARE PHYSICAL THERAPY in New York. Hint: Ours is more affordable.
When It was my turn to use the machine, I approached and saw the welcome screen below:
Since I already had an account created for me, I logged in straight away and the machine went through some slides that gave best practices for consistent measurements. The employee had already given me a run-down of the process beforehand and I was well prepared to complete the Scan. After the best practices, the machine asked me for some additional metrics (I chose to skip them).
At this point the machine prompts me to Step on the Scale to calculate my weight. When my weight is displayed it is accompanied by a Balance assessment, which I thought was a neat little feature.
As I follow instructions and start the scan, the base begins to rotate and capture my 3D Image. After the scan is complete, I see a Scan Completed Successfully screen and see the Results will be Emailed to me.
Shortly after the scan, I receive not one but two emails about my Scan Details. The first email is the Scan Report, it contains basic measurements of my body. The second email is a Posture Report, it contains a basic summary of posture points and how my body is not in perfect alignment. I finished getting dressed and returned to the desk where the employee explained the detailed scan results to me. Together we came up with a goal on how to improve my overall Fitness.
In its entirety, my First Fit3D body scan took about 20 minutes and I have a great starting point to measure my Fitness in the future.
I would recommend anyone looking to change their fitness get a way to measure consistently and accurately. The Fit3d Scanner Saves all of the scans into a profile, making it easy to see changes (good and bad) with your fitness. Having such a detailed scan available means that I can make minor adjustments to Diet/Exercise and can see the results within a much shorter timeframe!
